my favorite places to fish
I cut my teeth in the surf zone in the Ventura/Oxnard area and have spent much of my time exploring its rich and wild waters. I often end up fishing alone and enjoy the solitude that this area offers. Its probably the closest thing I have to "home water". I'm always happy to see another fly fisher or two and have no reservations about sharing some of my favorite places. Like everyone, I've kept a few in my back pocket.
After receiving several request for information about the area I created the pages below entitled "Ventura / Oxnard area". Around the same time Scott Thompson sent me a note expressing his desire to share some of his favorite places in the San Diego area.
We have not included any info about tackle or technique, that's for you to figure out. Our intention is simply to share with you some of the great fishing spots we've had the pleasure of finding and enjoying ourselves. Perhaps you have some of your own favorite places that you would like to add. Let me know and we can add them! Hope to see you out there!!!
