My Favorite Places to Fish
Ventura / Oxnard Area
5) Channel Islands Harbor
Also known as "Hollywood by the Sea", "Hollywood Beach" or "The Cove" this spot has become a favorite for fly fishers and bait fishers alike. It can be really good... I've counted as many as 25 corbina within 100 yards (area 2) in the summer but that really only means 2x frustration. Area (2) can also be great for halibut. Area (1) and (3) near the parking areas are worth checking for corbina and cruising halibut in the summer months. Area (4) almost always holds perch and can have some great rips.
